We are ARECA, a coastal and deep-sea fishing company located in Nouadhibou (Mauritania),

founded in 1996 by Issselmou Ould Joud.

Over the years, the team has grown... our family counts now over 200 employees.
The founder's son, Moustapha, has also joined the company as the commercial director.

Our 2,400m² plant is organized with the premises and equipment to offer a logistical and technical response, adjusted to the specific needs of our 14 ships.

Our vision is to embody a reliable and irreproachable company in terms of the quality of its products.
Today, we are proud to represent a major player in the fishing industry in Mauritania.

 

Since the creation of the company, we have worked tirelessly to optimize and diversify our activities.

In addition to our fisheries, in 2015 we have opened a factory specialized in the treatment and processing of our fresh and frozen products.

 

As a matter of fact, ARECA has just produced a feasibility study for the construction of a canned sardine factory. We are aiming for a daily production capacity of 30 tons, with a workforce of 150 employees, including 100 women.
